Located in the heart of the Poggiolo quarter, half way between the churches of San Francesco and Santa Lucia, these apartments form the west wing of our 18th century family house. The façade looks over the Piazzetta degli Archi but most of the windows of the apartments overlook a large garden and the surrounding valley with the skyline of Montefollonico, Sinalunga, Cortona and in the distance the mountains over Arezzo and Umbria.

Originally, the apartments were restored and furnished for our four children: the sons of Margherita & Giorgio (Francesco & Giacomo) and the daughters of Elena & Dominique (Marie Hélène & Isabelle). All four participated actively in the restoration... But when the time came to move in, they took off in different directions like all young people do. Today, three of them live abroad, London, Paris and Cairo, and one in Rome. We gave their names to the apartments and decided to rent them!

Apartment n°1 is named after Giacomo. It is located at garden level and is large enough to accommodate 5 people. Charming views over the garden can be enjoyed from every window. Meals can be easily taken outside. Apartment n°2 is Francesco. This is a charming duplex, with the kitchen/dining at garden level. Meals can of course be taken outside. It can accommodate 4 people in 3 bedrooms. It offers splendid views over the garden and the countryside. Apartment n°3 is Isabelle. This very cozy apartment on the second floor can accommodate up to 4 people but the ideal number is 2 or 3. It can be reached through a stairway from the garden as well as the street. There is a small loggia with chairs and a barbecue, quite romantic. The living room and the loggia enjoy magnificent panoramic views. Apartment n°4 is Marie Hélène. This luminous duplex can accommodate 4 people. It has a direct access only from the street (and through a shared passage from the garden). The bedrooms are at the ground floor with splendid views over the garden and the countryside. The living room and the kitchen are at the upper level, with full magnificent panoramic views. If the Appartamenti in Giardino do not match your needs...

There is no large space to accommodate a group... The garden is not so important because you plan to come during winter time... You really don't care about the views because you will be there only at night... Maybe you don't like the idea of a garden because of a hay fever... Or you just want to spend a little less... In such cases, you may want to consider four other apartments that we have recently renovated. Situated a few meters from the Appartamenti in Giardino, they are very cozy, quiet, comfortable and charming even though they have no garden.
